Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills welcomed back several important players to practice on Thursday, while a few more remained out of action.
Running back James Cook (ankle) and defensive end Joey Bosa (wrist) both returned to the field after missing Wednesday’s session, and were listed as limited participants on the team's official injury report.
Also back were nickel cornerback Taron Johnson - missed last Sunday’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs with a groin injury - and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, who has been out since injuring his calf during pregame warm-ups prior to their Week 6 contest against the Atlanta Falcons.
Both were also officially listed as limited.
However, remaining out of practice Thursday were cornerback Christian Benford, who showed up on the injury report Wednesday as limited with a groin injury, defensive end A.J. Epenesa, who is in concussion protocol, and linebacker Shaq Thompson, who missed Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury.
Safety Sam Franklin also missed practice due to an illness.
The Bills travel to South Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.
For the Dolphins, cornerback Rasul Douglas, edge rusher/linebacker Chop Robinson, and wide receiver Dee Eskridge all remained out for a second-straight day.
