Orchard Park, NY (WGR) - Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady said his team did not play to their standard on Sunday when they suffered their first loss of the season, 29–26 at home against the New England Patriots.

"There's a standard by which we play, and we're either playing to that standard or we're not," Brady said on Monday. "And look, we may not ever reach what that is, but it's my job to consistently set the tone and understand that if we ride a roller coaster of when we win it's okay and when we lose we gotta clean things up, then we're gonna ride a roller coaster all year. It obviously wasn't good enough and we didn't find a way to go 1-0, but it's not just about the result, it's about all the other stuff that kind of showed up within the game."

The Bills had an opportunity go 4-0 and drop the Patriots to 1-3. But instead, they fell to 3-1 and New England is now just a game behind in the AFC East at 2-2 and also with a head-to-head win.

The Bills not only lost the game, but also several key players. Wide receiver DJ Moore, defensive backs Dee Alford and Te'Cory Couch, and defensive tackle Ed Oliver all left the game early with injuries.

Brady did not give an update on any of the injured players, saying he hadn't met with the medical staff yet before Monday's media briefing.

The Bills will travel to Los Angles next week to take on the Rams on Monday Night Football. Because it's a Monday night game, the first injury report of the week won't come out until after Thursday's practice.
