Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills starting quarterback Josh Allen is dealing with some neck soreness, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

Allen left Sunday's 27-21 win over the New England Patriots with just 1:17 remaining on the clock after taking a hit on his left side following a four-yard run that gained a first down and sealed the game for the Bills.

After the game, Allen told reporters he suffered a stinger and had never felt one before, but that he wasn't concerned.

McDermott added he didn't believe the soreness would impact Allen's ability to practice at all this week.

The Bills travel to Miami this weekend to face the Dolphins on "Sunday Night Football". The winner of this game will be the 2023 AFC East champion and earn the No. 2 seed in the AFC Playoffs, guaranteeing a home game Wild Card weekend and another, should they advance to the AFC Divisional Round.

If the Bills lose, they'll need either the Pittsburgh Steelers or Jacksonville Jaguars to lose in order to make the playoffs. A loss by the Bills, and wins by both clubs would keep Buffalo out of the postseason.

McDermott added on Monday the team came out of Sunday's game relatively healthy with no significant injuries.
