Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Despite the Buffalo Bills' 21-0 loss to the Carolina Panthers in their preseason finale on Friday, the game took a back seat following the disturbing accusations that surfaced Thursday night surrounding rookie punter Matt Araiza.

It was revealed in a Los Angeles Times article that Araiza's name came up in a civil lawsuit accusing him and two other San Diego State University football players of gang-raping a 17-year-old girl at an off-campus party last October.
Following Friday night's game, quarterbacks Case Keenum and Matt Barkley spoke with the media, but a lot of the attention was towards their thoughts on Araiza, rather than the game itself.
"It’s hard to gauge, It’s been a weird day-and-a-half," said Keenum when asked about the feeling in the locker room following the reported news regarding Araiza. “Most everyone is trying to focus on the game, guys' livelihoods that are competing out there, and I've been in a lot of third and fourth preseason games.”

“It was a bit shocking to see," added Barkley on the same matter. "I don’t have much to say on it. There’s still a lot coming out it seems. I guess it’s a work in progress.”
