Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The 2024 NFL schedule was officially unveiled on Wednesday, and it was a chance to catch a first glimpse at the Buffalo Bills' path toward defending their AFC East division title for a fifth-straight season.
However, this may be the most challenging season ahead for the Bills since the turn of the decade with a number of challenging matchups and, once again, the level of competition around them increasing.
For the first time in three years, the Bills are slated to open the season at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park with a 1 p.m. ET kickoff. This time, they will play host to the Arizona Cardinals, who have not made an appearance in Western New York since the 2016 season.
The Bills will play a total of five prime-time games this season, with three of which coming in Weeks 2 through 4 against the Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens. Then in Week 6, the Bills will return to MetLife Stadium to face the New York Jets on "Monday Night Football".
Buffalo's final prime-time game this year takes place in Week 13 when they host the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers on "Sunday Night Football" following their bye week. That's not before hosting the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in a Week 11 showdown in Orchard Park.
It's certainly not an easy schedule for the Bills this upcoming season, but that's not deterring Howard Simon from continuing on with the tradition unlike any other... "Howard Picks the Bills"!
When all is said and done in the very first 2024 edition of "Howard Picks the Bills" after Wednesday's schedule release, Howard picked the Bills to finish with a 10-7 record, even though he only picked the Bills to lose once within the AFC East. Howard is, once again, confident in Buffalo's ability to sweep the likes of the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins, but has the Bills losing on "Monday Night Football" once again in the Meadowlands.
In addition, Howard has the Bills losing in four of the five prime-time games the team plays in this season, but winning games over the likes of the Houston Texans, Chiefs, and Los Angeles Rams.
