As the Buffalo Bills get ready for a short week when they take on the New Orleans Saints on Thanksgiving night, head coach Sean McDermott took some time on Wednesday to join the "Howard and Jeremy Show" on WGR.
McDermott provided some good news on Friday, as he confirmed both wide receiver Cole Beasley and wide receiver Tremaine Edmunds were able to practice as full participants throughout the week. It is expected that both players will be available to dress in New Orleans come kickoff.
However, McDermott was unable to provide any update on the status of either defensive tackle Star Lotulelei or right tackle Spencer Brown. Both players remain on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
As his team heads into Thursday's road matchup with the Saints, McDermott says his team took some extra time to look back and think about this past Sunday's 41-15 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
"There's a lot of necessary focus on what has happened this past Sunday," McDermott said with Howard Simon and Jeremy White. "To just move on too quickly would've been irresponsible. We need to make sure we gave it it's due."
This will be the second time in three seasons the Bills will make an appearance on Thanksgiving, with their last game resulting in a 26-15 wi9n over the Dallas Cowboys back in 2019 at AT&T Stadium.
McDermott admitted on Wednesday that his team did take a look back at that game two seasons ago when preparing for New Orleans throughout the year.
"We had done some work for [the 2019] game, and we did a similar approach this go round," McDermott said. "We took a page or two of the Saints during the bye week and hammered out some of that plan."
