Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen had x-rays taken on his injured right foot following Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The x-rays were negative, showing no additional damage to the foot injury he suffered the previous week against the Cleveland Browns.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Allen is still dealing with some soreness, but is in a better spot than he was early last week when he did not participate in the team's walk-through practice on Tuesday.
Headed into their Week 18 contest against the New York Jets at Highmark Stadium, the Bills have already clinched a playoff spot, but can no longer win the AFC East.
While McDermott says the Bills "want to win the game" against the Jets, they are still working through how to handle player availability for the game, including those who have been dealing with injuries. The team will know more after having further discussions later in the week.
Meanwhile, linebacker Terrel Bernard, who suffered a calf injury during Sunday's game, has already been declared out of this week's regular season finale.
Tight end Dalton Kincaid, defensive tackles DaQuan Jones and Jordan Phillips, safety Jordan Poyer, and kicker Matt Prater are all improving, according to McDermott. He added that Prater could be back this week.
The Bills released kicker Michael Badgley from the practice squad on Monday. Badgley had an extra point blocked against the Eagles after missing an extra point the previous week in Cleveland.
