Foxboro, Mass. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills, once again, were able to rally from a multi-score deficit to defeat the Patriots and remain alive in the race for the AFC East.
Sean McDermott spoke on how the team was able to battle back once again.
"A resilient, tough football team. When you're down like we were at halftime, I thought the staff did a great job making adjustments and the players executed."
This has become somewhat of a pattern for the Bills in the past few weeks and many now label them as a, "second half team." McDermott spoke on why the adjustment take place and they can't seem to nail it out of the gate.
"That's something we have to work on, we have to get into a rhythm sooner. But there's also an ability to adjust during a game. Anybody can come up with a game plan, it's but it's also what happens when they take certain things away? Are you able to pivot and adjust? And I think that's the sign of a great staff."
If the Patriots secured the win, they would have claimed the AFC East title and would have had their celebration in front of the Bills who have controlled it for the past few years. McDermott was asked if it felt good to see them not celebrate.
"It feels good to win. It does. I mean, we came in here to play a football game. We're not really into their their goals. We're into our own journey, and we have a lot of respect for them, and their coaches do a great job. So, we just came and wanted to play as good as we could and and get a win."
