Is Josh Allen a better quarterback than Ben Roethlisberger right now?
When asked the question on The Fan Morning Show on Wednesday on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, NFL Network's Marc Ross asked, "Is that a serious question?"
Ross 100% believes that the Buffalo Bills quarterback is better than the Pittsburgh Steelers veteran signal caller.
"What you saw Josh Allen do the other night, that was MVP caliber play that he had and Ben doesn't have that in him anymore and what Josh Allen can do in the pocket now, running but also creating plays outside the pocket by buying time and throwing there's only a few quarterbacks who have the ability to have all those three phases that he does," said Ross.
Allen was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 13 after completing 32-of-40 passes for 375 yards and four touchdowns in Buffalo's 34-24 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.
Roethlisberger went 33-of-53 for 305 yards and two touchdowns in Pittsburgh's 23-17 loss to the Washington Football Team at Heinz Field on Monday afternoon.
Roethlisberger is also dealing with an offense that can't muster much of a run game, and his receivers lead the league in dropped passes, making matters more complicated.
So while Allen is young, dynamic and impressive, is he the person you turn to for a late-game drive?
"I'll still take Ben over Josh Allen right now," said The Fan Morning Show co-host Chris Mack.
"It's all different circumstance and different situations, I don't think it's the blowout that Mark Ross made it. ... I don't think it's a laugher."
We'll see who handles the pressure better on Sunday Night Football when the Bills and Steelers kick things off at 8:20 p.m. EST in Orchard Park.
