Emmanuel Sanders might’ve been the steal of the offseason, at least according to NFL scouts.
Over the weekend, NFL Network reporter Mike Giardi shared glowing reviews he’s heard about Sanders from two of his sources.
“More from the scouts: the Manny Sanders signing is ‘criminally under appreciated,’” he tweeted. "Said another, ‘He’s been productive no matter where he plays or who he plays with.’ Both agree it gives the #Bills more options and security in case of an injury. ‘A steal.’
We know Sanders has been on the Buffalo Bills' radar for a while. General manager Brandon Beane admitted on Thursday he had been targeting Sanders for a couple of years. That makes him one of many: Bill Belichick is a well-known admirer of Sanders as well.
Sanders, 34, averages 60 catches and roughly four touchdowns per-season. He’s also played with some of the best quarterbacks of all-time, catching passes from Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning, and most recently, Drew Brees.
Now the two-time champion can add Josh Allen to that list. Sanders said Friday he’s been an admirer of Buffalo’s offense from afar.
"I would grab my iPad and I would watch the Buffalo Bills offense on my iPad, the coaches film," Sanders said. "Just watch the routes they're running, seeing Josh [Allen] run around, rip the ball 60 yards down the field or 50 yards down the field. It was just exciting to watch.”
It will be excited to have Sanders around next season. He’s also made it clear he’s ready for "Bills Mafia".
“Coming to play against the Bills, you would look around and be like, ‘man, these fans still love their team even though they’re not good,’” he said. "I know about the history, the four Super Bowls and everything. I’m excited. I think Buffalo got the best jersey and the best colors to me. I love the way these colors pop.”
Emmanuel Sanders admitted in 2014, the #Bills were not on his radar. But #Billsmafia has been. Even back then.

The fans even converted a buddy of his.
