Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550) - Josh Norman, listed as the Buffalo Bills' starting cornerback opposite Tre'Davious White on the team's first unofficial depth chart, missed Wednesday's practice as the team prepares to open the season at home against the New York Jets on Sunday. Norman has been recovering from a hamstring injury suffered on Aug. 20, but has participated in recent practices on a limited basis.
The other injuries of note were running back/special teamer Taiwan Jones, who was limited due to a knee injury, and defensive tackle Vernon Butler, who was also limited with a hamstring injury.
The team also held quarterback Jake Fromm out of practice due to a previously-scheduled practice regimen that allows him to socially distance from his teammates. This is a precautionary measure the Bills are taking in the event either of the team's top-two quarterbacks (Josh Allen or Matt Barkley) tests positive for COVID-19. Fromm will periodically practice away from the rest of the team to keep its emergency options open.
Rookie wide receiver Gabriel Davis had another highlight-reel play on Wednesday, making a one-handed catch in the back of the end zone against fellow rookie Dane Jackson. But was he in bounds? You can decide:
