One more Titans player tests positive for COVID-19, bringing total to four

Three players and five staff members in Tennessee's organization had tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday

One additional player for the Tennessee Titans has tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the team's total to nine - four players, five staff members.

According to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, all other tests taken Tuesday came back negative in the organization, as well as in the Minnesota Vikings organization, the team the Titans played on Sunday.

Starting defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, long snapper Beau Brinkley and tight end Tommy Hudson were all on the Titans' reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday.

While that's relatively good news for the Titans, their practice facility remains closed until Saturday and additional testing will be important because of the time it sometimes takes the coronavirus to affect a person.

It was announced on Wednesday by the NFL that Sunday's matchup between the Titans and the Pittsburgh Steelers has been postponed to allow for further COVID-19 testing and to ensure the safety of the players, coaches and game day personnel. The league says that the game will be rescheduled for either Monday or Tuesday, but a time for opening kickoff has yet to be announced.

Other scenarios have reportedly been discussed, including the shuffling of some games around so this game could take place during Tennessee's bye week.

The Buffalo Bills are set to take on the Titans in their Week 5 matchup on Oct. 11 at Nissan Stadium.
