Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) – The Buffalo Bills have locked up their kicker to a long-term deal.
The Bills officially announced on Friday they have given fourth-year kicker Tyler Bass a four-year contract extension. Peter Schrager from FOX Sports and NFL Network's "Good Morning Football" reports Bass' deal with the Bills is worth up to $21 million, with $12.3 million of that money guaranteed.
Bass was drafted by the Bills in the sixth round (188th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Georgia Southern University.
The 26-year-old already holds a number of Bills records in just three seasons with the team. He holds the franchise mark for most field goals attempted in a game (8), most field goals made in a game (6) and the most points scored by a Bills player in a season (141 in 2020).
Through his first three seasons, Bass has a 85.6% field goal percentage, converting 83 of his field goal attempts to this point.
