Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills have signed wide receiver Jamison Crowder to a one-year deal, the team announced on Tuesday.
Crowder plays almost exclusively in the slot. The Bills released starting slot receiver Cole Beasley last week, but re-signed slot guy Isaiah McKenzie shortly before free agency opened.
The 28-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the New York Jets after playing four years in Washington, where he was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Duke University.
Last year in New York, Crowder caught 51 passes for 447 yards and two touchdowns. It was the second-lowest output of his career in both categories.
Over three seasons with the Jets, Crowder collected 188 catches for 1,979 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also caught exactly 14 touchdowns while with Washington from 2015 through 2018, grabbing 221 catches for 2,628 yards.
For his career, Crowder has amassed 409 catches for 4,607 yards and 28 touchdown catches, averaging 11.3 yards per-reception.
Crowder also has experience as a punt returner. Although he hasn't done it since 2018, he returned 84 punts for 657 yards and a touchdown his first three years in the league.
In his first-ever game with the Jets after signing as a free agent in 2019, Crowder caught 14 passes for 99 yards against the Bills. That still remains his career-high in receptions for one game.
