Bills sign defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi to one-year deal

Buffalo adds some defensive line depth in free agency

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills have added some veteran defensive line depth via free agency with the signing of defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Ogunjobi is set to make up to $8.3 million with his contract in Buffalo, with $8 million of that money guaranteed.

The 30-year-old defensive tackle has played eight seasons in the NFL across three different teams. He was drafted in the third round (65th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns, where he played four seasons and started in 47 games.

Ogunjobi then signed a one-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2021, where he started 16 games.

He then went to free agency again in 2022, signing with another AFC North team in the Pittsburgh Steelers. With Pittsburgh, Ogunjobi played 48 games for the Steelers, racking up 132 total tackles, 26 quarterback hits, 6.0 sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

Across his eight seasons in the NFL, Ogunjobi has started a total of 108 games, recording 27.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in that time.

However, it was revealed on Friday that Ogunjobi is expected to miss the first six games of the 2025 season after being suspended by the NFL for violating the league's performance enhancing drugs policy.

Also set to serve a six-game suspension to start the year for violating the NFL's PED policy is fellow free agent signing Michael Hoecht.
