The 28-year-old Johnson had spent the first six years of his career split between the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans before spending last season with the Miami Dolphins. In five games played last year, Johnson managed to rush for 330 yards on 71 carries and score three touchdowns.

Johnson’s best attribute is his ability to catch passes out of the backfield.

While nothing has been made official by the team, Johnson is already being seen as a Plan B for the Bills after J.D. McKissic spurned the team in free agency this past week. After originally agreeing to sign with the Bills, McKissic had a change of heart and decided to return to the Washington Commanders.
