After keeping their front office entirely intact throughout the offseason, the Buffalo Bills could be on the verge of losing one of their top personnel people.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Carolina Panthers have requested permission to interview Bills Director of Player Personnel Dan Morgan for their assistant general manager position.
Morgan spent seven seasons with the Panthers after they made him the 11th overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. He went on to start 59 games for the organization, was named an All-Pro in 2004, and recorded 18 tackles in their Super Bowl XXXVIII loss to the New England Patriots.
He joined the Bills in 2018 after serving as Director of Pro Personnel with the Seattle Seahawks, where he worked with current Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer.
Albert Breer of SI.com’s TheMMQB has reported that Kansas City Chiefs assistant director of player personnel Ryan Poles and Philadelphia Eagles assistant director of player personnel Ian Cunningham are also possibilities for the Panthers’ opening.
