Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550) - Even though wide receiver Stefon Diggs returned to the field after missing two practices due to back soreness, the Buffalo Bills' injury list continued to grow on Monday.
Prior to the afternoon session, head coach Sean McDermott spoke to the media via a Zoom conference call and gave the injury update:
Did Not Practice:
OL - Jon Feliciano (chest)
RB - Taiwan Jones (knee)
TE - Tommy Sweeney (foot)
CB - Josh Norman (hamstring)
RB - Christian Wade (quad)
FB - Patrick DiMarco (neck)
OL - Quinton Spain (foot)
DT - Vernon Butler (hamstring)
OL - Victor Salako (back)
TE - Tyler Kroft (foot)
WR - John Brown (illness)
DT - Quinton Jefferson (illness)
Offensive lineman Ty Nsekhe received a veteran rest day.
McDermott said that he doesn’t believe the illnesses of Brown or Jefferson are COVID-19 related. He also said that Kroft had his foot stepped on Sunday at practice, which is why he missed Monday.
Kroft missed the first five games of last season recovering from foot surgery. McDermott did not specify if it was the same foot that was stepped on.
