Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Following a bounce back win on Sunday over the New York Jets, the Buffalo Bills have turned the page and begin a week of preparation for the NFL's top team in the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles currently sit at 9-1 in the standings, and just beat the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII on Monday.

The Bills' secondary took a beating on Sunday against the New York Jets, and head coach Sean McDermott didn't give too much of a positive update on a trio of players Wednesday that left this past week's game due to injury.

In his meeting with the media before Wednesday's practice, McDermott said safety Taylor Rapp would not participate with his neck injury, while cornerbacks Taron Johnson and Dane Jackson are in the league's concussion protocol.

Meanwhile, safety Micah Hyde and cornerback Cam Lewis were both considered limited on Wednesday.

Heading into this coming Sunday's matchup with the Eagles, McDermott feels this game is just as big as the other games on the schedule.

"We try and make every game the same size. I understand that it's labeled as big. They're all big, right?" said McDermott on Wednesday. "We've been at this long enough, although every year is a little bit different in terms of the game you're coming off of when you play it, or what have you. But you try and keep the main thing, which is keep things in perspective and keep priorities in proper order."

Despite Sunday's win over the Jets being a nice rebound effort for the Buffalo offense, McDermott wants to make sure his group focuses on the 24-hour rule and continue to grow one week at a time.

As for defense, McDermott knows the unit will have its hands full with the likes of A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and dual threat quarterback Jalen Hurts.

"He's a really tough player to go against for those reasons, among others," McDermott said of Hurts. "He's playing at a high level, and he uses not only his arm, but his feet, and it's tough to defend whether it'd be any situation you name. In the red zone, third down, two-minute and beyond. You have to defend all 11 on the field."

The Eagles are averaging 234.8 yards passing per-game, which is the 12th-best ranking in the NFL.

The Bills held a walk-through on Wednesday, and will return to the practice field on Thursday.

As for the Eagles, Brown, who's tied for second in the NFL with 1,013 yards receiving, was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday.
