The second-year scorer out of Virginia Commonwealth set social media ablaze with a nifty, full-stretch layup on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Hyland finished the must-see play with a deft flick of the wrist to spin the ball around a defender, off the glass, and into the basket.

Falling onto his backside, Hyland then had the presence of mind to stare into a TNT camera, apparently in astonishment at his own highlight-reel effort.

The play was a hit on Twitter, where users -- including Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett -- were quick to give Hyland props.

Even Hyland himself checked into Twitter to admire his handiwork and respond to Garnett.

Later, Hyland even responded to a user who set the viral play to the Kanye West song "Father Stretch My Hands."

A job well done all-around.
