Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that he will put WR Odell Beckham Jr. in a scheme where he can make more big plays.
Last year with the Browns, Odell Beckham Jr.'s first in Cleveland, the star wide receiver played through a core muscle injury during a season that saw him finish second on the team in catches with 74, and yardage with 1,035 yards, behind Jarvis Landry.
“It's very obvious to everybody, the skill set of Odell," Stefanski told us. "He's a player that when he touches the rock he can go the distance, and there's not many like that in the NFL. [I'm] really excited to put him in a scheme where I hope we're getting the most out of him, and putting him in position to make big plays."
"Odell is one of the guys I was fortunate enough to sit down with before all this stuff kind of went sideways, so we say down and talked about a bunch of things," Stefanski added. "One of the things we talked about is how he's going to factor in this offense, and I showed him a bunch of tape from the previous Vikings year, I showed him tape from his Giants years, and just my vision for what he's going to be capable of doing in this offense."

On April 17th, Browns Chief Strategy Officer Paul DePodesta referenced Stefanski's relationship with Beckham. “Odell has been very good this offseason," DePodesta said. "He has been engaged with Kevin [Stefanski]. I think he is excited about the possibilities of what this offensive system could bring for him, and we are excited to have him.”
Paired with Landry's 83 catches and 1,174 yards, the duo of Beckham and Landry became the first pair of 1,000 yard receivers in a single season in Browns franchise history last season.
