DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy confirmed 105.3 The Fan's report over the weekend where we detailed the Cowboys in-house meeting regarding seven-time Pro Bowl safety Earl Thomas, who was released from the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

“I have nothing really to report.” coach McCarthy told the media on Monday morning, before confirming that he'd visited with vice president of player personnel Will McClay on Thomas.

The Cowboys currently employ HaHa Clinton-Dix and Xavier Woods at the safety spots, which McCarthy indicated Monday they were comfortable with.

"We’re very confident in the 80-man roster,'' McCarthy said.

He then went on to say make another statement that may apply directly to Thomas' most recent incident that got him kicked out of Baltimore.

"I think the most important question you need to ask," McCarthy said, "is, 'How does a player fit into the locker room?'"
