PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - At Friday’s practice, Mike Tomlin donned something you don't see every day.
Instead of repping the team logo, as is typical for a coach of any team, Tomlin wore a crimson polo shirt with “Cleaning Ambassador” written across the back.
For a football season that’s been through the wringer, the cleaning crews have been essential to team health and safety.
Tomlin made sure that the cleaning crew weren't completely unsung.
In Tomlin’s words, it’s a way to honor and show gratitude for the workers that toil away behind the scenes.
“I mean it when I say it takes everyone within our organization to have a successful day, and therefore a successful season,” Tomlin said.
It’s not glamorous, but the cleaning crews are quietly keeping the season truckin’ along.
