April 30, 2020 Following his interview, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told the media that he wanted Lamb to wear the most famous number in Cowboys history, No. 88.
Lamb appears to have taken Jones' advice, reversing his previous announcement, two sources tell The Fan's Mike Fisher.
Lamb's decision means that he'll follow in the footsteps of previous Cowboys wide receiver greats in Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin and Dez Bryant.
Apparently rookie WR CeeDee Lamb WILL in fact be wearing No. 88 for the Dallas Cowboys...It looks like the Dez Bryant dreams coming back to the Cowboys are officially over...#CowboysNation pic.twitter.com/JvSJsWboss
