Baltimore, Md. (610 Sports Radio/WGR 550) - For the fourth time in the last five years, the Kansas City Chiefs are heading to the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs got the job done on Sunday afternoon in a 17-10 victory on the road over the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium.

Patrick Mahomes threw for 241 yards and a touchdown, completing 30-of-39 passes, while connecting with Travis Kelce for 11 receptions on 116 yards and a 19-yard touchdown on the first drive of the game, which set the tone early.

However, it was the Chiefs’ defense that was most impressive on Sunday.

After allowing a touchdown on Baltimore’s second drive of the game, the Chiefs stifled Lamar Jackson and the Ravens' offense, holding them to just three more points the rest of the game, which came with less than three minutes remaining.

The Chiefs also forced three turnovers of the Ravens, including two in the end zone to completely turn the game in their favor.

Jackson finished Sunday's loss with just 20 completions on 37 attempts for 272 yards and a touchdown, while also tossing an interception and losing a fumble. The likely MVP of the 2023 season was also sacked four times.

The biggest play of the game came at the start of the fourth quarter when Jackson connected with wide receiver Zay Flowers for, what appeared to be, his second touchdown of the game. However, the ball was knocked loose as Flowers dove for the end zone, and Kansas City recovered.

On Baltimore’s next possession, Jackson threw an interception in the end zone from the Kansas City 25-yard line and with 6:45 remaining in the game.

While the Ravens still had a glimmer of hope, they were forced to settle for a field goal on the next possession.

Meanwhile, Mahomes and the Chiefs sealed their trip to Las Vegas in two weeks, as he found wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling on a third down conversion.

Up next for the Chiefs will be a matchup in Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas against the NFC champion San Francisco 49ers, a rematch of Super Bowl LIV that saw Mahomes and the Chiefs winning the title in Miami.
