Tyreek Hill's skill set meshed perfectly with Patrick Mahomes, making them one of the most-feared quarterback/receiver pairings in recent memory.
Unfortunately, the Kansas City Chiefs went their separate ways with Hill, trading him to the Miami Dolphins this offseason, where he recently became the highest-paid receiver in NFL history.
Despite video evidence to the contrary, Hill loves what he's seen so far from Tua Tagovailoa, raving about his poise and determination, among other noteworthy traits. In fact, if he had to choose between the two, Hill says he'd rather catch balls from Tagovailoa, citing his elite accuracy.
"As far as accuracy, I'm going with Tua all day."

Tyreek Hill had some high praise for his new QB in comparison to Pat Mahomes 🗣

It seems ludicrous to suggest Tagovailoa, whose 204.1 yards per-game last year ranked 29th among starting quarterbacks, is in any way better than Mahomes, a likely future first-ballot Hall-of-Famer and one of the most talented athletes to ever play the position (Hill did acknowledge Mahomes having a stronger arm).
Hill's effusive praise for a quarterback most would identify as average or even slightly-below average seems over-the-top, and more than a little performative, though maybe that's what's necessary to boost Tagovailoa's confidence heading into a make-or-break season that could determine his future in Miami.
Armed with the best supporting cast of his young career — you'd be hard-pressed to find a more potent receiving duo than Hill and Jaylen Waddle, who set an NFL rookie record with 104 catches last season — all the pieces are in place for a breakout year, if Tagovailoa can summon the kind of performance that made him a household name at the University of Alabama.
If not, the Dolphins could be in the market for a new quarterback, perhaps one with seven Super Bowl rings and a nine-figure broadcasting deal waiting for him at FOX.
