According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Miami Dolphins have landed Ramsey in a deal that sends a 2023 third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long back to Los Angeles. The deal is only agreed upon for now, as it can't become official until Wednesday.

CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson first reported the Rams and Dolphins were in “deep discussions” around a trade that would send the cornerback to Miami.

Ramsey was All-Pro in 2020 and 2021, and made the Pro Bowl this past season. He would be a huge addition for the Dolphins, whose pass defense surrendered the fifth-most yards in the air per-game last season.

In 2022, Ramsey picked off four passes and forced a pair of fumbles.

The 28-year-old sounded pleased with the development, tweeting this out moments after news of the discussions came out.

Ramsey began his career after being drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the fifth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He became a key part of the 2017 Jaguars defense that made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game.
