Ravens officially put non-exclusive franchise tag on Lamar Jackson

It's a non-exclusive tag worth $32.41 million

(93.7 The Fan/WGR 550) - It's official: The Baltimore Ravens have used the non-exclusive franchise tag on quarterback Lamar Jackson.

When the new league year starts on Wednesday, teams will be able to try to offer Jackson a deal he can't refuse.

It's a $32.41 million non-exclusive tag.

His own agent, Jackson, along with his mother, can negotiate with other teams on a deal, but the Ravens still have the ability to match any offer. Baltimore can also take first two-round picks for him, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

There were immediately rumors that the Atlanta Falcons are interested in Jackson, but as ESPN's Dianna Russini reports, they are not going after him.

Jackson is looking for a big-money deal after the Cleveland Browns signed Deshaun Watson to a five-year, fully-guaranteed $230 million contract last offseason.

The 26-year-old, former NFL MVP has been dealing with injuries over the last few years, including a knee sprain last season.

Over five seasons in the NFL, Jackson is 45-16 in the regular season with 12,209 yards passing, 191 touchdowns and 38 interceptions. He has also added 4,437 yards rushing on 727 rushing attempts and 24 touchdowns.
