WFAN: Forget Jets' tortured past, this team is built to win Super Bowl

"The Jets can win a Super Bowl this year. That should be the expectation, to win a Super Bowl this year"

New York (WFAN/WGR Sports Radio 550) - Marc Malusis understands the New York Jets’ tortured history, but if past failures and disappointments are put to the side and fans can climb out of their chronic negativity, it would become apparent that this team can win it all.

"Take history out of the equation for the Jets," Moose said. "Take the fact that this team hasn’t made the postseason since 2010... the drafting of Sam Darnold and Zach Wilson, the fake spike by [Dan] Marino, throw it all out the window.

"Just look at this team on paper. The Jets can win a Super Bowl this year. That should be the expectation, to win a Super Bowl this year."

Moose sees a team that will win the AFC East, and can absolutely make a deep playoff run. He points to a healthy Aaron Rodgers, a revamped offensive line with a stud running back in Breece Hall, and a defense that should be dominant.

With that in mind, who cares what has happened in the past when looking at the capabilities of the 2024 Jets?

"This team, whether Haason Reddick is on the team or not, are built to win a Super Bowl this year," Moose said. "Everybody wants to lean negative, because that’s the easy way. Because you don’t know better... what can go wrong has gone wrong for the Jets. But on paper, aside from injury... there is nothing that should hold the Jets back."
