Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson was charged with DUI in Tennessee on Friday night after he allegedly crashed his car while pulling a dangerous stunt at an intersection.
Wilson, the 29th overall pick in April, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after he was seen doing "donuts" in a Nashville intersection before crashing his vehicle into a concrete wall, according to the Associated Press.
Wilson, 21, told police he was having trouble with a tire. The arrest warrant showed he failed a field sobriety test, the report said.
The offensive lineman was arrested late Friday night and released Saturday morning, records showed.
The Titans said they were aware of the situation.
“This is not conduct that is indicative of the character of our football team," the team said in a statement, "and we are working through details on how to proceed.”
The University of Georgia product was involved in another bizarre incident last month, when he reportedly turned up on a campus police report at Tennessee State University, where he had apparently been hanging out at an off-campus party in a potential violation of NFL coronavirus protocols.
Wilson reportedly contemplated jumping from a second-floor balcony to evade police in that incident, according to Titans insider Paul Kuharsky.
The rookie was placed on the team's COVID-19 list twice during camp.
Tennessee was set to open its season against the Broncos in Denver on Monday night.
