You would be hard pressed to find an analyst or fan that didn't have a bad opinion about the type of quarterback that Jalen Hurts would develop into at some point since the Philadelphia Eagles rather shockingly drafted him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
But in his third season, Hurts is likely going to finish as the runner-up in NFL MVP Award voting and has the Eagles one win away from capturing the second Super Bowl title in franchise history.
So at Super Bowl LVII Media Day, one reporter took it upon himself to go up to Hurts and apologize for doubting whether the Eagles could compete for a title with him under center:
What's funny is a few years ago, Hurts probably looked forward to the moment that some of his critics acknowledged that they were wrong in being skeptical of his ceiling in the NFL. However, when actually given a face-to-face apology, the 24-year-old seemed to be uncomfortable.
But if the Eagles are able to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, there will likely be quite a few talking heads with similar sentiments to this reporter next week.
