The first round of the 2020 NHL Draft is in the books with this year's event being held virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
As expected with the first overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, the New York Rangers went with left winger Alexis Lafrenière from the Rimouski Océanic in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Afterwards, we saw the next two dominoes fall in center Quinton Byfield to the Los Angeles Kings with the second pick and center Tim Stützle going to the Ottawa Senators with the third pick.
