One of the top prospects for the Buffalo Sabres is off to a red-hot start in the early goings of the 2021-22 season.

2020 first round pick Jack Quinn has helped propel the Rochester Americans to a 4-2-0-0 start in the American Hockey League with five goals and five assists for 10 points in six games. The 20-year-old is already among the top scorers in the AHL, currently tied for third in points and tied for first in rookie scoring.
With his early-season success in Rochester, Quinn was recognized on Monday as the AHL's Rookie of the Month for October.
Quinn's 10 points through six games is already more production than he put up in the COVID-19 pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season, where scored two goals and added seven assists for nine points in 15 games. He was the first player in the AHL this season to reach the 10-point mark.
The eighth overall pick of the Sabres in 2020 has points in all but one contest in the early portion of the season. In the six games he's played, Quinn has registered multiple points in four games, including a three-point night (1+2) on Friday, Oct. 22 against the Syracuse Crunch.
The very next afternoon, Quinn picked up his first career multi-goal effort with a pair of tallies in a 7-3 win in Toronto over the Marlies.

Quinn has already found chemistry working on a line with 2020 second round pick (34th overall) JJ Peterka. The German-born winger is also off to a decent start in his rookie season in North America with a goal and six assists for seven points.
The Amerks are next back in action on Wednesday night with a matchup against the Belleville Senators at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. ET and can be heard on our sister station in Rochester, 95.7 FM ESPN Rochester.
