Jake McCabe added to NHL's COVID-19 list

McCabe is the fifth Sabres player to enter the NHL's COVID-19 protocols

Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - Jake McCabe joined Rasmus Ristolainen, Taylor Hall, Tobi Rieder and Brandon Montour on the NHL's COVID-19 protocols list, the team announced on Thursday.

Earlier in the day on Thursday, the Sabres announced that head coach Ralph Krueger had tested positive for COVID-19. The Sabres' players and staff are quarantined until at least Monday.

New Jersey Devils goalie Aaron Dell is done with his quarantine period, so he came off of their COVID-19 list, leaving the Devils with 16 in the NHL's protocols.

The Minnesota Wild have also had their season paused, and are now up to seven players in the protocols. The team they played, the Colorado Avalanche, have two players in the league's protocols, including captain Gabe Landeskog.
