Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) – Despite having two good young goalies already in place, the Boston Bruins have signed Linus Ullmark away from the Buffalo Sabres. According to multiple reports, the Bruins have signed Ullmark to a four-year contract with an average annual value of $5 million.

Jeremy Swayman did a terrific job last season when Tuukka Rask and Jaroslav Halak were out. In 10 games, Swayman went 7-3-0 with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .945 save percentage.

Boston also had 23-year-old netminder Dan Vladar, but he was quickly traded to the Calgary Flames

Ullmark has been the Sabres' starting goaltender for the last three seasons. Overall in Buffalo, he was 50-47-13 with a 2.78 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage. His best season was last year, posting a .917 save percentage in 20 games played.

Buffalo put six years of development into the 2012 sixth round draft pick (163rd overall), only to have him leave in free agency at age 27.

Carter Hutton signed with the Arizona Coyotes, so that leaves Buffalo with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Dustin Tokarski under contract. Neither are likely options for the Sabres when the season starts.
