Rasmus Dahlin named to third-straight NHL All-Star Game

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - For the third time in his career, Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin is a NHL All-Star.

Just before puck drop on Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens, the league announced Dahlin will be heading to Toronto this coming February to take part in his third-consecutive All-Star Game.

The 23-year-old currently lead the NHL among defensemen with 11 goals scored in 38 games played, to go along with 20 assists for 31 points. Dahlin is on pace to finish his 2023-24 season with a career-high 23 goals from the blue line.

Dahlin also sits in a tie for seventh in overall scoring with his 31 points.

The former first overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft by the Sabres becomes the eighth Buffalo player to participate in three or more All-Star games with the team. He also becomes the fifth Sabres player to make three or more consecutive All-Star Games.

All-Star Weekend in Toronto this year begins on Thursday, Feb. 1 and runs through Saturday, Feb. 3.
