(WGR 550) – After what happened Monday night in Cincinnati with Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin being hospitalized in the intensive care unit at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after suffering a cardiac arrest, I know that's where all our thoughts are on this Tuesday.
As we all struggle, hoping and praying to whatever God you may choose, many of us aren't really up for doing our jobs, but we must.

I know as Buffalo Sabres fans, you’d like to see them win in Washington against the Capitals on Tuesday, but as human beings and sports fans, our thoughts are in one place, and it's not in Washington.
Personally, I pray for strength for Damar, his family and his teammates on the Bills.

I have a job to do and I will do it, but it will be done with the utmost respect for Hamlin.
In the early afternoon on Tuesday, the Bills put out a statement on Hamlin:
I will briefly touch on the hockey game scheduled for Tuesday night.
Since Craig Anderson played in Sunday’s 3-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators, I would expect Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to be in goal for Buffalo.
I wouldn’t expect any changes to the lineup. The scratches on Saturday were Casey Fitzgerald, Vinnie Hinostroza and Rasmus Asplund.
This is Buffalo’s first game against Washington this season, and the Capitals will have Darcy Kuemper in goal.
Capitals winger T.J. Oshie is also supposed to return from injury.
Puck drop on WGR Sports Radio 550 is set for 7:05 p.m. EST.
