Sabres game with Bruins is on for Thursday

Both teams had to cancel their morning skates due to the NHL's COVID-19 Protocols

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The NHL, through their doctors, have to decided to play Thursday's game between the Buffalo Sabres and Boston Bruins.

The Sabres had to cancel their morning skate on Thursday due to a hockey staff member entering the NHL's COVID-19 Protocols.

The Bruins also canceled their morning skate due to a player entering the NHL's COVID-19 Protocols. Both teams went through more testing and contact tracing.

This is the night where 700 frontline workers will be invited to the game, marking it the first time fans will see the Sabres play in Buffalo since March 9, 2020.

Faceoff on Thursday is set for 7 p.m. ET with pregame coverage on WGR starting at 6 p.m. ET with Schopp and the Bulldog.
