This immediately led to speculation on who will replace Harden on the All-Star roster. With this year’s festivities taking place in Cleveland, many on social media — from fans to writers — suggested Cavs center Jarrett Allen get the call after many believed he was snubbed from the original team.

Allen has been a big part of why the Cavs are the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference this year.

The center is averaging 16.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game through 49 games this season.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will make the selection on who replaces Harden and while Allen has a strong case, so does Raptors big man Pascal Siakam.

The commissioner could also choose to replace Harden with another guard, such as Jaylen Brown.

If Allen is snubbed again, it’s still possible he gets the call as Bulls forward Zach LaVine could also miss the game due to injury.
