If you couldn't stop seeing fans smiling without pause behind home plate during MLB games this weekend, you don't need to call an exorcist.

There were smiling fans at three MLB games over the weekend, with the intention of promoting the upcoming horror movie "Smile:"

The film is set to be released on Sept. 30, and features the following plot:

"After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can't explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality."

Katie Rife of RogerEbert.com recently reviewed "Smile" and gave it a 2 1/2 out of four stars, a pretty decent mark for a horror movie to receive.
