Fans are upsets at CBS color commentator Tony Romo for his comments yesterday on Aaron Rodgers.

The retired Cowboys quarterback appeared to take it easy on Rodgers as he and his partner Jim Nantz were summarizing Rodgers' situation during a segment. People were upset at Rodgers as they felt he misled people about his vaccination status when he said he was “immunized.”
Rodgers conducted a series of interviews on The Pat McAfee Show. In the first interview, he claimed to be “immunized” against COVID-19 using a vaccine-less protocol rejected by the NFL and also questioned the vaccine’s efficacy, implying that ivermectin isn’t being used in treatment because it’s not financially lucrative.
“First of all, I didn’t lie in the initial press conference,” Rodgers said in the interview. “During that time, it was a witch hunt that was going on across the league, where everybody in the media was so concerned about who was vaccinated and who wasn’t and what that meant and who was being selfish and who would talk about it, what it meant if they said it’s a personal decision and they shouldn’t have to disclose their own medical information."
After receiving a ton of backlash, Rodgers came back on the show to clarify his statement and apologize for misleading people.
Romo addressed Rodgers' second appearance on McAfee's show and said that he is glad the Packers' QB took responsibility for his actions and statements.
"I’m glad he did that; I’m glad he took responsibility for that, Romo said during the Packers-Seahawks broadcast. "I’m glad that he said that he misled people…and I think the biggest thing, you know it’s a polarizing issue, but I can promise you he felt the weight of it the last few weeks, it’s something that he’s not thinking about anything else, and it’s been, make no mistake, a very challenging week for him.”
Fans didn't seem all too receptive to what Romo had to say, calling him out on social media for letting Rodgers off easy.
Despite the Rodgers controversy, it was an emotion-filled day for the 37-year-old quarterback leading the Packers to a 17-0 shutout victory over the Seahawks.
“A lot of emotions for sure,” Rodgers said per ESPN. “Good to be back with the guys, good to be back at home, good to be on the field, really. The most emotions from the whole night was probably walking off the field after the game.”
Rodgers was sidelined for 10 days due to COVID-19 with many speculating whether he would return in time for the Seahawks game.
Romo certainly seems to have let Rodgers off easy, but as one Twitter user put it, we can't expect a fair assessment from an NFL broadcasting crew when addressing an issue that relates to the sport and league that they cover.
