Victor Robles showed off his otherworldly defensive prowess Tuesday evening against the Phillies, making an acrobatic catch in center field and then doubling off Jean Segura at first base.
It is one of the more improbable double plays you'll see all year.
With the Nationals trailing 4-1 in the top of the sixth, and Segura on first with one out, Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm came to the plate and fired a shot toward the warning track in center field.
With a poor jump on the ball, Robles adjusted mid-route to make a leaping catch overhead at the wall, then turned and let 'er rip toward first. The ball traveled 288 feet, landing waist-high in Asdrubal Cabrera's glove at first base just in time to complete the double play.
Segura looked rightfully stunned.
