On Tuesday Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael reacted to the breaking news that the Atlanta Braves top pitching prospect, Ian Anderson, will be making his Major League debut Tuesday night at Truist Park against the New York Yankees.

“You want to talk about a dream scenario for a young man. To be drafted where he was drafted and have the nice minor league career that he has had, then finally make it up to big leagues while we have been clamoring for him all this time. To be able to do it against the Yankees. Come on. It sets up perfect,” said Andy.

“It’s a great chance for this young man, for all of us that don’t know much about him other then he is a hot shot prospect that they basically say is untouchable right now. I’m excited to see the young man pitch tonight I mean especially against a team like the Yankees. But I mean I would be excited if he was pitching against the Marlins,” added Randy.

According to MLB Pipeline, Anderson has "a plus fastball that he can still get up to 96 MPH." What else should you expect from the 22-year-old's arsenal?

"He misses a ton of bats and can get contact on the ground, as well. His power curve can be a plus pitch when he commands it and the fastball-curve combination is a big reason why he's struck out 10.7 per nine innings heading into 2020."
