Raving about her hubby and their two sons during on CBS Sunday Morning. Carrie noted that like so many others during the COVID lockdown, her family spent a lot of time together. As for her husband's feelings about the extended amount of quality time, Carrie shared the following tidbit, “well, my husband did say, 'You know what? I like you.' And I was like, 'I like you, too.'"
"Like, it's kinda weird," she continued. "He's like, 'No, you know you love someone, but it's like, when you are off doing your own thing, and then, you know, you come have dinner together, you don't really have to, like, deal with each other that much.'" The singer also recounted Fisher telling her, "We've been together, and some couples kinda get stronger, and you see some go the other way. And so, like, we were really good at being together all day,
every day.”
Underwood married her now retired NHL hottie in July 2010, and together they have two sons Isaiah Michael, 6, and Jacob Bryan, 2. Carrie went on to note, that despite this past year being incredibly difficult filled with “a lot of heaviness,” contrarily, “there were also a lot of silver linings, and I got to sit in one place and watch my boys grow up.”
This past Easter weekend, the "Jesus, Take the Wheel" singer went back to work, well kind of, performing in a live virtual concert from the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Carrie sang tracks from her eighth studio album and her first in the gospel genre, My Savior.
Starting off the show with a little help from her harmonica playing friend Buddy Green, Carrie performed "Jesus Loves Me.” Closing out the nearly one-hour broadcast angelically beautiful take of "Amazing Grace.” With more than 38,000 tuned in live at one point, the virtual event helped raise over $100K in benefit of the non-profit organization Save the Children.
