Hoda Kotb tests positive for COVID-19 in breakthrough case

"Today" host Hoda Kotb, who is fully vaccinated and boosted, has tested positive for COVID-19, she announced Thursday.

"Thx for well wishes! Feeling good," Kotb, 57, tweeted Thursday morning. "Can't wait to see you all when I am in the clear! Xo."

Fellow host Craig Melvin mentioned her infection during Thursday's show.

"We should mention here before we get to the news that the reason Hoda is off is like many others she tested positive for Covid," Melvin said. "But Hoda tells us she's doing just fine and we look forward to having her back very, very soon."

Seth Meyers, host of NBC's "Late Night" announced he tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, canceling the remainder of his shows for this week. "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon also said this week he tested positive at the start of his show's holiday break.
