Kotb took to Instagram to post a video of her family’s birthday celebrations. The video shows her mom Sami, sister Hala, fiancé Joel Schiffman and her two daughters gathered around a birthday cake for her 57th birthday celebration.
All eyes were on Kotb’s two adorable daughters who wore matching black and white striped shirts with rainbows covering the front. The sisters later helped their mom blow out candles after they sang "Happy Birthday."
Kotb also color-coordinated her outfit with her sister Hala, as the two wore matching bright pink tops. Kotb finished her look off with a U.S. Olympic button and a “Happy Birthday” crown.
The star kicked off her birthday week on Monday with a group family photo in her home, where her two daughters were seen holding balloons. In the photo, her whole family is sitting on the couch with big smiles. Kotb captioned the photo, “My kinda birthday.”
Kotb also received some birthday treats from her friends, including cupcakes from Kathie Lee Gifford, Milk Bar treats from Savannah Guthrie, and a floral arrangement from Chip and Joanna Gaines.
Although Kotb showed the tremendous amount of love she received on her birthday, the on-air host is still patiently waiting to expand her family.
The coronavirus pandemic delayed her adoption process, after she first announced that she was ready for a third child back in October 2020.
Kotb, who is engaged to Joel Schiffman, 63, adopted her first daughter, Haley, in 2017. Her second daughter, Hope, was adopted in 2019.
