It’s no secret that Post Malone loves a good Country collaboration. While he’s already joined forces with some of the genre’s finest like Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, and Morgan Wallen for his forthcoming album, there’s plenty more who say they’d be happy to join him for a track. That includes longtime Country superstar, Jason Aldean.

“I think you can go back and look at interviews I’ve done for years sayin’ that I’d love to do something with him,” Aldean told Audacy’s Dina B. when asked if he’d ever consider a collab with Posty. “I kind of compare him to Kid Rock in the sense of, he came from more of that Pop world and I think he’s authentic to Country.”

While crossing over to the Country side seems to be the trendy thing to do these days, Aldean credits Post for his authenticity and doing it in a way that is earning the respect of Country fans everywhere.

“I think Country music fans see that and they understand that he actually is a fan and he does love this genre and I think they’ll accept him for that,” said Aldean. “I think they’re already doin’ that. What he’s doin’ with bein’ involved in Nashville and the community and the music and everything here — I think Nashville will definitely accept him with open arms.”

Post Malone announced his sixth studio album last month with a billboard in Nashville that read: “The name of the new Post Malone album is…” followed by the picture of a Ford truck tail light and several zeros. “Sup motherf***as… F-1 Trillion August 16th” Post Malone captioned his picture of the billboard on his Instagram, which confirmed the announcement of his very first Nashville promoted album.
