Jimmie recaps slippery DWTS performance, shares plans to release his next album in sign language

‘I feel like no one should be forgotten’

Jimmie Allen took to the ballroom floor with a Foxtrot for the fifth week of competition on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, which paid tribute to the musical, Grease. Dancing to the film’s “Alone at a Drive-In,” dressed as Danny Zuko, Allen and his partner, Emma, earned 34/40 points, which shocked him since he says he slipped and “made up new moves” during the performance.

“I slipped three times, so did Emma,” Allen told Audacy's Rob + Holly. “And like, half the dance, we made up other dance steps…. In our heads, it felt like the world fell apart, but then the judges gave us two 8’s and two 9’s and Emma was like, ‘wait, what?’”

Jimmie went on to explain the dance floor was dangerously slippery during his performance, later finding out it was due to left over whipped cream from a pie-in-the-face stunt from the couple that performed prior.

“It was wiped up, but it wasn’t wiped up as good,” said Jimmie. “But the crew, they have so much to do in so little time… they did the best they could. I would rather me fall than anybody else.”

Clearly nothing is getting Jimmie down these days and his new bundle of joy, Zara, who he and his wife welcomed just two days before his Monday night performance is probably a big reason for that.
