The former “Big Bang Theory” star officially broke her silence after the horrifying incident at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics involving a German coach who punched a horse during the competition.
According to People, Cuoco, who is married to a horse trainer, Karl Cook, posted several Instagram stories scolding the coach, Kim Raisner. She even expressed an interest in buying the horse named Saint Boy.
“I feel it’s my duty and heart to comment on this disgrace,” Cuoco wrote. “This is not Olympic show jumping. This is a disgusting, classless, abusive representation of our sport in so many ways. This team should be ashamed of themselves," she added.
Along with her passionate plea, the 35-year-old also posted pictures of the rider Annika Schleu, who cried as she struggled to get Saint Boy to jump.
“You and your team did not do your country proud or this sport. You make us look bad,” Cuoco wrote, referring to the coach, who was immediately disqualified after the whole world saw her hitting the horse. “Shame on you and godspeed to any animal that comes in contact with you," she added .
“Pure classless behavior right here. Disgusting on all levels. This is not our sport. This does not represent our sport,” Cuoco said in another post. “This rider and her ‘trainer’ are a disgrace.”
“I’ll buy that horse outright and show it the life it should have. Name your price,” Cuoco added.
In a statement, the executive board (EB) of the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) wrote: "Her actions were deemed to be in violation of the UIPM competition rules, which are applied to all recognized modern pentathlon competitions including the Olympic Games."
Cuoco's love of animals has been well known. She previously opened up to Variety about owning a farm in Coachella Valley that is home to 25 horses and dogs.
