Dasher, a 90s inspired Country artist with a spunky, southern personality has given up some of her most prized possessions, including a Fender guitar gifted by her Daddy, all for the sake of keeping her dreams alive.

“I wanted to make sure I took care of my band members even if they were low-scale pay, so I sold every guitar that I ever owned to pay them off,” Hannah shared in a recent interview with Audacy’s Rob + Holly.

She continued, “For years, I wrote songs and played shows on borrowed guitars. I toured with The Cadillac Three and borrowed Jared [Johnston’s] guitar because I didn’t have one.”

The sacrifice proved to be worth it, as Dasher was eventually able to purchase the guitar back and has since been named one of Fender’s 2021 New Artists.

“Now, to be a Fender Next artist and to have them given’ me all of these guitars and to be the face of one of the new telecaster’s, y’all, I’m just, I can’t even, I’m so blessed.”

While money was often scarce for Dasher in her early days as an artist, there was clearly never a shortage of passion. The Georgia-native went on to share a unique way she kept her motivation strong while working at a Bass Pro Shop in Nashville.

“My favorite thing was it’s in the parking lot of the Grand Ole Opry,” Hannah said of her previous job at Bass Pro Shop in Nashville’s Opry Mills Mall. “That’s what built a fire under my butt to keep goin’ to work every day.”

The work location proved to light quite the fire in Dasher, who said she was eventually let go for writing songs on the job.

“I was fired for writing song on the job,” she said, laughing. “One of the songs I was working on at the time, eventually got picked up by Brad Paisley, a song galled, “Go To Bed Early.”

She continued, “I’m hoping’ y’all might be circulating in the next nine months or so… maybe?”
